Supreme Leader to deliver live speech to mark Qom's 1978 anti-Shah protest

Ayatollah Khamenei used to receive thousands of people from Qom to mark the anniversary of the event, but because of COVID-19 pandemic, the Supreme Leader will deliver speech on TV.

The protest ignited a chain of protests throughout the country that eventually led to the fall of the Shah one year later.
